One star.

Horto is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Milan, on the rooftop of The Medelan by the Duomo. The star came almost at once: recognition of a culinary vision that holds together invention, respect for the land and the worth of the ingredient itself.

The star recognises a kitchen with something to say. For us that means coherence: every dish should be able to tell you the day it was made, the hand that carried it, the field it grew in. It is a grammar.

We build the menu around the growers, not the other way round. Nothing fresh comes from further than an hour away, and the season decides the rest.

The same year brought the Michelin Green Star, the award for sustainability. The two stars tell the same idea from two different perspectives: taste and responsibility.
